I began collecting "Old Iron" in the summer of 1992. After filling what little space I had in the garage, basement, etc. - I decided that I needed a bigger, more permanent place for my "stuff." Thus, in the summer of 1995, The Engine Barn was born. The Engine Barn is a 10' x 12' structure built primarily of used 2"x4"s. It is built on an 8" thick cement pad. The center beam is a single 2" x 6" x 14' piece of wood. Except for the nails used to affix the shingles, The Engine Barn is entirely screwed together. The design is of my own. Look carefully at the third picture and compare it to the one on the Home page. After a few short years, The Engine Barn was full and an "annex" became necessary!
